Money Blogs – How To Structure Your Ads

Monday, January 11th, 2010

A lot of things have been written about how to create the perfect blog that makes the most money. Everybody knows that content is king and that for the content to actually make money, you have to put ads on your page where people can click and possibly make a purchase. Any guru’s guide on how to start a blog will always make mention of one of the most popular ad-generating programs for your blog – Google Adsense. While this works by having people click on ads and earning you an amount for each click, it doesn’t mean that their mere presence in your blog will actually have people clicking on them. When talking about these ads, most usually forget about a basic element that may make or break their chances of being clicked. What you need is a good way to structure those ads on your page so they tend to be more attractive to readers. For instance, Goodgle Adsense is a good program to have on your blog. You simply make options that indicate what type of products you want advertised and the program will look for such ads and paste them on your page. The issue is, putting those ads on any portion of your page doesn’t necessarily bring the same results. Putting those ads at the top of your post will probably not be good for your blog because people might feel discouraged by the fact that all they see initially are ads. A better place for them would probably be the bottom of your page where readers will eventually get to if they’re serious enough about reading your posts. If they find anything interesting, they’ll more likely click on it because they’ve had the satisfaction of reading a good post. Clicking on that ad won’t be a chore. The way your ads look will also have a way of influencing whether or not your readers are going to click on them, much less stay on your page long enough to read your posts. When you decide to have those ads on your page, you actually also have the option to choose which font colors to use. This is very significant because a loud color combination can be very stressing to the eyes and whether or not readers are aware of it, they’re likely to respond the same way – click out. Make sure that when visitors come to read your blog, it will be an initially delightful experience. Don’t make them have to criticize a page that is poor in color coordination. Whether you like it or not, visual appeal accounts for a significant portion of why people will stay, read your blog and click on your ads. Having a blog make money is not an easy task but it not gargantuan, either. This means that whatever formula worked for the successful ones, they won’t be too hard to figure out as long as you know what what you’re doing. Then how to make money blogging will start to come naturally.

WordPress Lessons Review – Discover How To Make Money With Your WordPress Blog

Friday, January 8th, 2010

Are WordPress Lessons right for you? If you want to make money on the internet, read on and discover. A WordPress blog is almost a must-have these days, especially if you want lots of traffic and high search engine rankings. Google loves blogs because Google loves fresh content. And if you set up and run your blog correctly, Google will love yours too. I was a total newbie when I started my first round of WordPress Lessons, taught by Mike Paetzold, and I have to admit that I felt a bit inundated. There was just so much information. I barely got my blog set up before the course was halfway over. And Mike wants us to have our blogs up and running BEFORE he even gets started with the actual lessons. But a funny thing happened. As I went back over the material and asked questions, which Mike patiently answered, in detail, it started to fall into place. By the time the course was over, I had a blog up and running, and was happily blogging away. So how do WordPress Lessons work and what will you get? It’s set up as a membership site. In that site, you get everything you need (blog files, plug-ins, etc.) set up ready for download and installation. There are videos that show how to do it all, plus PDF file checklists. The lessons themselves are held as webinars. The idea is that you install your blog before things even start, but newbie hardly ever manage to do it all. No problem. Mike helps, in the forum, through his help desk, and live during the lessons. In the lessons, Mike helps us to set up our blogs so that the search engines will love them and list them where people can find them. And he helps us set them up so that they’ll run smoothly. And how to make money. In fact, one lesson was entirely devoted to ways in which we could monetize our blogs. And not only the various ways, but also strategies to maximize the income from them, i.e., which ones to put where, what kinds of promotional tools to pick, and so on. Of course, without traffic there won’t be any money, so an entire lesson is devoted how to drive traffic to them and build a list. In the last lesson, Mike looked at our blogs, and helped us make them look more professional, work better, and make more money. And since the lessons were in webinar format, we could see everybody’s blog as he talked about them and were able to learn from each of his case studies. So should you consider taking WordPress Lessons? You might want to seriously consider it if any of the following applies: You want a blog to promote your business You want to build an internet business You have a blog that isn’t doing what you want it to do You want to earn (more) money with your blog The last one is what WordPress Lessons is really designed for. Mike makes a full-time living with his blogs, and he’s very open about sharing the good, the bad, and the how-to. Any downsides? The first go-around can be challenging if you’re a total newbie. But if you’re willing to stick with it and work hard, you can do it, and you’ll get all the help you’ll need to make it happen. One more downside? With all the trouble-shooting and the individual questions, the lessons can get a bit tedious at times. But I’ve never considered tuning out – the info I got was just too valuable. So even the disadvantages are actually pluses of sorts – in excess of information means when you’re ready for it, it’ll be there for you to make use of. And Mike’s patient and elaborate answers are worth their weight in gold, especially if they answer your own questions. A lot of us wants to learn about How To Start A Blog. There are actually a lot of internet sites that offer pieces of information on How To Start A Blog. Make Money From Home

Having a good time blogging?  It doesn’t need to be a plain diversion.  Your blog can function as a cash cow as well.  These are 5 methods by which you can earn cash with your blog.

1. Register under the Google AdSense course or other pay per click (PPC) operations available nowadays.  PPC courses permit you to present perspectively significant advertisements on your internet pages.  Every time a visitor of yours would view on an ad, you’ll get paid.  Hence, the more visitors you’ll attract, the more views you can possibly produce, and the more income you can likely get.  Google AdSense is the most well-known – and as some state, the highest paying – PPC program in the market these days.  Although, not every subject is allowed by Google AdSense.  If the subject of your blog falls under Google AdSense’s prohibited subjects – like grown-up or gaming subjects – you can attempt other, evenly successful PPC programs akin to AdBrite.

2. Sell ad spaces.  If your blog has created a lofty page status for itself and if it is continuous;y generating numerous guests, you can stock advertisement spaces – or virtual investments as John Reese would have it – on your web pages and sell these to advertisers who like substantial visibility for their products or services.  Believe it or not, there are many concerned marketers are lways looking for justly priced ad spaces in blogs with PR ranks for 3 and up.

3. Advertise link publications.  You can offer publishing someone else’s link on your blog entries, for a cost surely.  This will aid him build his link recognition, especially if your blog administers a high page rank and if your blog produces many guests.  Perform this for a declared fee too.

4. Register in affiliate programs.  Since you will have many opportunities to advocate and pre-advertise products with the freedom you’re given in writing your blog entries, you can register in some associated affiliate programs so that you can sell their products.  Whenever you can refer a successful deal, you will gain a fixed payment.  If you’re experiencing problems looking for proper affiliate courses, you can instead join unified affiliate courses like www.clickbank.com, www.cj.com and www.linkshare.com.

5. Flip your blog.  Every now and then, you’ll earn more by selling your blog.  If it has gained for itself steady traffic and a considerable following along with a significantly high page rank, you can sell it for a high amount in specialty forums like www.digitalpoint.com and www.sitepoint.com.  This is coined website flipping, and it is really a very profitable online undertaking currently.

What You Don’t Know About Bloggers (But You Should)

Monday, October 26th, 2009

If you’ve dipped so much as a toe into today’s marketing world, you’ve heard about blogs. Actually, if you’ve been on the internet at all lately, you’ve probably seen that blogs are a pretty commonplace occurrence. You probably are not aware of how truly easy it is to advertise on the blogs of bloggers.”

What is this thing called a “blog?” What is it for? When did people across the unverse first hear about it? How can you make it work for you in today’s competitive marketplace, especially when you have very little money to spend on your marketing?

The term “weblog” was coined in 1997 by Jorn Barger, editor of RobotWisdom.com, one of the oldest blogs out there. The shortened term “blog” came about in 1999, offered up by one Peter Merholz, editor and author of Peterme.com, a very well-established blog about his life, the web in general, and about everything else under the sun. By July 2006, statistics show that there were 12 million bloggers in the US alone (we’d venture to say there are many times that amount now), and that more than 39% of the US population reads blogs. Again, chances are that now, with the unemployment rate rising and Internet costs getting less expensive, that number is much higher. From the perspective of someone who wants to advertise on blogs, this is a good sign. Statistics also show that by February of 2009 there were 1.5 billion Internet users worldwide.

At nearly 25 percent of the planet's population, that figure is most impressive. With only 80% of the world’s population being literate, you can figure that almost half of the world’s literate population is online. And more and more of those that “surf the web” are reading blogs. What does that mean for you, oh Person Who Wants to Advertise Their Business? It means that you can use this medium to promote your business.

For a minimal cost you can reach millions of people with your brand and your website. And why does it mean that? For as many bloggers as there are, there are that many blog readers.

Many people choose not to put their every thought and opinion onto a website, but that doesn’t mean that they don’t want to read the thoughts and opinions of the people who do. The cool thing about that is that many bloggers are quite influential. They quite vocal about their views on companies and products. So how do you get into their sites to advertise your company? One way is to find blogs that fit your product’s image and go through the rigmarole of emailing them individually.

You’d need to offer them free product, send it to them and wait for them to write about you and link to your website. Or, in an easier and possibly more effective move, you can sign up with a service that makes your ads available to bloggers. Because of today’s economic climate, more and more bloggers are trying to make a profit from their blog.

Whether it’s to offset the cost of their domain name and website, or whether they are trying to put food on the table, more and more quality bloggers are putting advertising on their websites. The service they use can be the same service you use to take advantage of some prime internet real estate and reach an audience who may not be looking for your product otherwise.

Blog readers aren’t stupid, but they are partial to the blogs they read the most. And chances are, if the blog is established and has a decent readership, those readers are going to be interested in the ads posted on their favorite blogger’s website. Why not have your own ad there?

3 Important Tips To SEO Your Blog

Friday, October 16th, 2009

If you’re a blogger, chances are you’re not getting the all important search engine traffic you could. Don’t worry, most other bloggers don’t either because they believe Social Media traffic is enough. Failing to capitalize on this free targeted traffic is one reason so many new bloggers don’t earn fast money with their blog.

If they understood how easy it was to SEO optimize their blog post, they just might get the free organic traffic they need to be successful. Your blog post could be SEO friendly in just three easy steps. By doing these three steps all the time, you can increase visitors which can be the difference between a blog that builds the owner very little income or a blog that creates wealth for the Blogger.

Follow this advice to optimize every article you write and start reaping the rewards of free targeted Internet users.

For starters, you should make absolutely sure that your blog post url’s are search engine compatible. With free blogs like Blogger, this is automatically done for you. WordPress blogs need a little work. If you use the WordPress blogging platform, then set your permalinks so that blog creates SEO friendly url’s when you create a post.

To do this in WordPress is go to the Permalinks tab, and click the radio button next to the Custom field. Next you’ll put a percentage sign followed by the words Postname. {Immediately after the words postname, Now} add another percent symbol. You’ve now ensured that all your post will have optimized addresses.

The most important tip on SEO optimizing your blog is to put the keyword in the Title of your blog. For example, if you’re blogging about earn money easy, then make these keywords the Title of your blog. If your blog is about Dogs, then don’t use something unrelated like your name in the title unless you also have the word Dog in there also. By using the keywords in the Title, then you’ll rank higher than if you name your blog something that does not relate to your main keyword.

Your next step is to write the keywords in the Post’s title. If you’re trying to lure people to read your post about using Ebay to to make extra money, then put the keywords in the post title. Forget about using non relevant titles like How I Make Money With Auctions. If you do this, the search engines will have trouble determining what your post is about and prevents search engine users from finding your blog post. This is especially important if you’re trying to make money with Adsense.

By following this advice, you will be helping the Search Engines know what subject your blog post is about. When you make it easy for the search engines to understand what your post is about, they’ll rank you higher than a non-optimized blog.

Now to fully take advantage of all this optimizing, you’ll need to build links to each post. Ahh, but link building is a whole nother article that has to be saved for later. Learn how to optimize your blog and blog post first before taking on link building.
